
Managed a team of ex-NASA personnel to facilitate a systems engineering approach to the study.
This included the facilitation of a series of in-person and on-line workshops with 40 innovator companies and 150 individuals which identified further opportunities to pursue which could bring additional value to the project.
This different approach was completed on an accelerated time

Successfully negotiated the commercial terms of the mining agreement and gained consent for the project from the Ngaanyatjarra people avoiding project delay costs of A$17 million per month.
Co-hosted a stakeholder engagement day with 13 agencies from the WA and Federal Government to improve the understanding of the project and OZ Minerals.

Resolved an issue of cross contamination of copper and zinc concentrates (and loss of revenue) during the commissioning of the zinc concentrator. This was undertaken through the co-development of an in-pit RC drilling and metallurgical flotation test program.
Developed a program to monetise gold stockpiles to generate a A$70m profit during the zinc commissioning period to ensure the survival of the operation.

Undertook a geoscientific due diligence of the Carrapateena mineral resource and recommended that the company complete an acquisition of the project.
OZ Minerals acquired the project and brought Carrapateena into production within 8 years which provided a cash injection to the business and reduced the risk profile of the company as it only had one operating mine at the time.
